Saturday’s are made for pottering, coffees and catch ups.
This weekend I headed over to Portobello Road market to do some browsing of antiques – to quote Notting Hill – “some genuine, some not so genuine”. I went with four boys, and being the only girl I had a lot of time to browse on my own, whilst they looked at leather rubgy balls and tweed jackets.
I went in search of a jewellery stand to accommodate my new long chain necklace and unfortunately came home without one. However I did find a brass soap dish, that was the shape of a bath tub and it was so divine, I brought it as a new home for all my rings. I absolutely love it. I also came away with an very old edition of a Winnie the Pooh book, which I collect, along with of The Great Gatsby and Pride and Prejudice which I am still hunting for. All in all, useless but special presents for myself.
Although I was wrapped in multiple wool layers, it was freezing again in London and once you add the icy breeze slapping you around the face, you have a definite reason for a cappuccino break.
This couple were just too irresistibly ‘Notting Hill’ not to snap a photo of them.
My new dream suitcase. This vintage LV suitcase was £550 and I was unbelievably tempted to place down all my savings to be its new proud owner and take it home to a warm loving home.
The food looked delicious..
That every man and his dog were tasting it..
Seafood Paella for lunch and then it was home, to begin to feel our toes again.
