I know that it is 2015 and Christmas seems like a distant memory, but I had such a pretty Christmas Eve treat that it would be a waste not to post some pictures of it.
This year, some of my family went ice skating at Somerset House for some pre-christmas exercise as our christmas present from my uncle. However, we kicked things off with a pre-skating Fortnum and Mason hot chocolate with all the trimmings, which would have definitely outweighed any calories burnt during our hour on the ice.
Naturally there was time to take multi selfies, whilst teaching the mother to ice skate. It was her first time and she gripped onto me and my sister for support like she was trying to break our arms.
Of course, the novelty handmade Christmas jumper made its star appearance.
After skating, which we all survived with out breaking any bones, it was off to lunch at The Delaunay just round the corner. The best Christmas Eve treat. One of my favourite restaurants in London which serve amazing European dishes for every meal of the daily. It isn’t cheap, but my goodness it is delicious. I had the Kedgeree which was sublime.
Then it was home for an evening packed of chocolate and films whilst waiting for Father Christmas.
I cant believe that Christmas is over for another year. Today we are taking down our tree and packing away the decorations until next time. Without a doubt Christmas is my favourite time of the year, the whole family camped on the sofa wearing pyjamas at 4pm for a week. But now it is January. Time to sit at my computer at work, scrolling through fantasy holidays in the sun, dreaming of a tan and a swimming pool.
