When people think of dark lipstick and high heels, it is normally associated with dressing up for a night out. For this look I have paired them white jeans and a casual checked shirt to show how they can be worn as a daytime look.
These platform high heels are from Topshop in their new spring collection. I really struggle to walk in really high heels (I am like Bambi on ice). I also find heels unbelievably painful – I know no one finds them like slippers, but I envy girls who can wear them everywhere and can walk so gracefully. I am not one of those people, I can last 3 minuets before each step I say ‘Ouch, ouch, ouch’ whilst clinging to the nearest person to me for support.
However, I wore these heels all day (and also on a night out) and apart from one stumble they caused me no trouble at all. The height of the platform makes the actual heel appear higher than it is, giving you the towering height without losing the ability to walk. Saying this, it was still totally heavenly taking them off at the end of the day.

My jeans are also from Topshop – just the standard ripped jeans. Be warned – if you wear these, wear nude seamless underwear – they don’t hide much!
The shirt is from Urban Outfitters. Super comfy material, so soft. And it has slits up the side making it slightly different from all the other plaid shirt I own.
