Now, when it comes to perfume – I have always been a Chanel girl. Always. Chanel Chance and Chanel Mademoiselle are my go to perfumes. (Occassionally I wear my Jean Paul Gautier for winter but MAINLY Chanel).
I am not someone who enjoys sniffing new perfumes. I hate the perfume section of department stores. And whenever I think, ‘maybe I should get a new perfume, I am bored of my smell’ I immediately retract that thought in my head as I know that I don’t want to be spending hours smelling horribly pungent scents and sneezing my way around in John Lewis.
So long story short – I wear Chanel and that is that.
But then along comes Tocca. I am obsessed.
I was recently in Space NK (a beauty bloggers heaven) and I was just wandering around, gazing lovingly at things I can not afford but need in my life. Then I saw it. It was love at first sight.
The bottles were just so pretty, so simple. I picked up the Simone perfume (I love the colour of the label of this one) and thought, ‘I won’t spray it because then I will probably smell horrible for the rest of the day’. So I just had a quick sniff of the nozzle and that was it. I was sold. I think that is what falling in love feels like.
I know this must sound very strange, but I have never loved a perfume like this.
*(It is sitting next to me as I write this – I just sprayed myself again – I smell amazing)*
Back to the shop – I then smelt the entire range of Tocca perfumes in Space NK and decided that Simone was the one for me – although the rest are also so delicious.
It was quite expensive (£54) , as perfumes are, and I knew my bank balance couldn’t quite take the hit. So we had to say goodbye.
I then spent the rest of the bank holiday telling everyone about it and constantly asking my family to smell how good I smelt. I knew I was going to buy it eventually as I couldn-t stop wishing it to appear on my dresser.
Then a few days ago, my mum came home from work with a little Space NK bag. I squealed with delight! IT IS MINE. Simone and I will live happily ever after.
The cutest packaging. Not over the top, just very classy.
Gorgeous little details!
The bottle is beautiful but deseptively heavy – not ideal for carrying around – think I will need to invest in the handbag sized one one day. But this bottle could also be used as a very efficient paper weight!!
The gold lid is also beautiful – just so stylish.
I am not very good as describing scents – but this is definitly a floral perfume, but very light *(just smelt it again – dreamy)*. But I did my research and Tocca describe the scent as:
Top: Crisp Apple, Fresh Picked Watermelon, Lemon, Calypsone
Middle: Frangipani, Ylang- Ylang, Rose Petals, Freesia
Bottom: Creamy Lactones, Blonde Woods, Musk, Amber, Nirvanolide
With this description:
Sparkling notes of the tropical frangipani flower cut through the salt sea air,
as Simone unfolds into creamy layers of watermelon,
ylang ylang and blonde woods.
How romantic.
So that is my perfume love rant over. Sorry to gush but what can I say, I am in love!
Lots of Love
Cococa Chelsea x
