Last week I was very kindly invited by XTRA-STAR to come in to their office and have a look/lust at their new collection of jewellery. (which is amaaaazing).
XTRA-STAR is a new, quickly growing jewellery brand based in London, who make the most fabulous range of coloured gemstone jewellery.
When I arrived I was met by Ying Pan, the CEO and designer of XTRA-STAR. She brought out trays and trays of gorgeous rings, earrings and necklaces for me to try on. I was like a kid in a candy store. Everything looked so beautiful.
I was initially quite polite, carefully looking at each ring individually – but after a few minutes I soon had rings on each finger and I was dripping in necklaces.
Some of the designs were not really my style, but most of it was just perfect and completely what I look in jewellery.
I really love simple jewellery, traditional materials but with a modern design – something that you can wear everyday that is not over powering to an outfit, but just compliments it nicely. The rings were ideal for this. They are such natural colours but are the opposite of a boring piece.
As I sat playing dress up, I was talking to Ying about the brand. She said that her inspiration behind the jewellery is the strong, independent, modern women. Everyone carrying handbags that are too heavy, running around trying not to spill our coffees, collecting children, working late and just generally multitasking. She said that no matter what shape, size or colour they are, we love these women and we are here to celebrate their gorgeousness every day by creating jewellery pieces especially for them – every gemstone is unique and so are women! And we know that every woman is worth the gem! Or one on each finger.
Their entire range is designed completely around nature, and only natural materials are used when creating their jewellery. The stones are not altered and that what makes the pieces so beautiful. There Carry Me collection literally likes droplets of water held on a golden band. Amazing.
And they actually have a collection called Dew, which looks exactly like what it is named after.
If you look at the photos from their video you will see what I mean about it being at one with nature.
All their pieces are set in 18ct Rose or Yellow Gold plated Vermeil on Sterling silver but are still at such great prices. Their main feature is that of the gemstone. All of the stones are specifically selected and they have stones such as London Blue Topaz, Garnet, Blue chalcedony, Rose Opal, Amethyst, Rose Quartz and Citrine.

I was then even more lucky to be sent some of their gorgeous jewellery to borrow and play with – I will have to part with it one day. But for now it is mine, and I am sure you will see it in a lot of my outfit posts!
I just love the natural stone colours and rose gold is my favourite material in the world.
The sunlight literally glitters through the stones.
Have I already said that they are beautiful?
The brand have only been around for a few months but they have already been at London Fashion Week – in a collaboration with fashion label Gyo Yuni Kimchoe and have graced the pages of Vogue.co.uk. XTRA- STAR has also been to the Brits – worn by Tamara Foster!
So thank you so much for kitting me out XTRA-STAR. If anyone has any questions about the brand, please do get in touch with me – I will be happy to answer as best I can!
Lots of Love
