Champions Day at Ascot with Ladbrokes

I was very kindly invited to spend the day at Ascot for Champions Day on behalf of Ladbrokes. I was so full of excitement for what the day had in store after receiving possible the cutest invitation ever – a mini personalised tea bag. Can life get cuter?

I have been to Ascot once already this year back in June (you can have a little snoop at my outfit here) but this is a new season – so therefore a new dress must be purchased.

When we arrived, we all had presents instead of place names on the tables. Now if I thought the invitation was cute – check out this baby..

I sat down to eat in the Pavilion Restaurant, had one or two glasses of Champagne and got chatting to all the other fab bloggers.

One of the highlights of the event was meeting such amazing people. These girls especially are Fab-u-lous. On the left we have Millie (She Hearts the Highstreet) and in the middle we have Hayley (My De Beauvoir Diaries) – Go go go check these beauties out. I met them at Waterloo on our way there and we chatted and laughed from the moment we pulled out of Waterloo until the moment we got back. Even whilst squashed up against drunk men singing, both on the way there and on the way back.

It was then time for the first race so we all headed outside to watch the races/ take outfit photos.

  Two more amazing bloggers – Primrose (Primrose Bigwood) & Emily (Style Lobster).

The only photo I have of the races – if you look REALLY hard you can see the horses.

Then we headed back inside for some delicious food. The main course was so SO good – I love me a chicken & pancetta combo – with garlic cream!

After eating (and winning some money on the one race I bet on *claps*) we headed outside to watch more races  take more photos.

I loved my autumnal Ascot outfit – you can shop everything it below 🙂

!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; p = ‘//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js’; var cb = new Date().getTime(); p += ‘?cb=’ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‘object’){ if(doc.readyState === ‘complete’){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ‘script’, ‘shopsensewidget-script’);
My coat is from Brandy Melville – I say coat – its more of a wool cardigan but it is so unbelievably thick and warm that it counts as a coat – plus it is the softest thing in the entire world. One of my friends felt it the other day and ordered it online, then and there.

I want to say a BIG thank you to these two babes who patiently took all my photos for me!

After the “photoshoot” we headed back inside to try and eat another meal. We were served a gorgeous afternoon tea and then it was home time for me.

I had such a lovely time – we were incredibly spoilt with amazing food and drinks – and I want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Ladbrokes and Branded3 PR for inviting me – especially Victoria and Will (you guys are amazing).

What would you wear to Ascot in Autumn?
