A Few Shades of Grey

If you are looking for some colour, I would probably look elsewhere as we are having a very lovely grey day over here..

Firstly can we take a moment to obsess over these thigh high babies from Ted & Muffy. Now, if you have read previous posts, you will know how much I suffer from walking around in heels.
I don’t get the ‘ow my feet hurt, can’t wait to take them off at the end of the day’. I get ‘oh my fucking god, I need to cut my feet off, they BURN, I can’t move one more step without crying’.

I don’t know why they hurt me so much but I think it may that 1) I don’t practice enough and 2) I buy heels that are too high/uncomfortable for me because they look pretty.  Classic.

HOWEVER, these heeled over-the-knees from Ted & Muffy make me do the opposite of crying – they make me so SO happy. They don’t hurt – now don’t get me wrong, after 8 hours of walking around I was ready for my slippers – but I did last a full day of events, press days & going out for dinner and I was still strutting on the walk home from the tube.

They are just so comfortable, even though they are pretty high – a nice good size heel. Ted & Muffy’s motto is ‘fairytale fitters‘ and I couldn’t agree more. When you order them, you get the option to choose your calf size, so they are basically custom made shoes. Winning.

I have no calf muscles so having this option to order boots that would stay up rather than slowly drooping down every 30 seconds is fab.

I am wearing the Lucina boots in black suede.

Next up – if you follow me on Instagram you will have seen this staple in almost every outdoors photo – my Brandy Melville coat. I can’t quite express how comfy this coat/cardigan coat is. Two of my friends, plus my sister and my mother have both gone and got one (which is great as I now have a few colours to choose from in the same style)

IT IS SO WARM AND SOFT. That is pretty much all you need in a coat.

Oh apart from maybe being water resistant. It is not that. You will get wet. Have an umbrella with you.

This is a standard everyday look for me – jumper and skinny jeans. My jeans are from Topshop (obvs). My jumper is new and I brought it at a Christmas Fair from Cocoa Cashmere. I was first attracted over by the name, as they had a massive COCOA logo but the clothes in there were just so gorgeous that I splurged on this grey cashmere jumper. And I may have brought another one as well.. stay tuned.

Another piece of clothing you will keep seeing on my Instagram are my Mimu Official bobble hats. I have this one in black and another one in baby pink. Oh my gawd, they are so soft and warm. I can’t praise these enough. Fur bobble hats are everywhere this year but these get my vote – made in England, 100% wool and fur sourced through an ‘Origin Assured’ company. And so fluffy.

They have a removable fur bobble. I accidentally popped mine off when I got it and almost cried that I had broken it- but you just pop it back in. So clever.

I absolutely love every item I am wearing, so you will be seeing them all pop up a lot in the next few weeks. #sorrynotsorry

Thank you so much for stopping by

xx
