Lee Stafford Hair Loving

If you follow me on Instagram and Twitter – you will have noticed that I have been raving about Lee Stafford for WEEKS now – especially the CocoLoco range. And I am utterly obsessed.

It all started when I went to an event a few months ago with some gorgeous bloggers, the fab nbpr team (mega babes) and Lee himself. We were then introduced to the new Lee Stafford coconut range, ‘Coco Loco’, whilst drinking coconut smoothies and eating coconut cookies. It was my favourite day. I was then very kindly gifted the CocoLoco range to try out at home.

Can we just appreciate this as a perfect blogger’s event display.

My first impression of the product was that it sounded great (but don’t they all) AND that it smelt amazing. Like, totally amazing. Basically drinkable.
*Disclaimer – NOT RECOMMENDING YOU SHOULD ATTEMPT TO CONSUME ANY OF THE LEE STAFFORD PRODUCTS*.
However, since the event I have been testing many different products and I hadn’t had a chance to take a few weeks out to trial all the Lee Stafford products together. (I always like to trial all hair and skin products for at least 2 weeks before reviewing them to see how they work, over a slightly longer period of time than just a wash in and out).

SO I have been using these CocoLoco babies all of January, and I am in love with how shiny and glossy (and deliciously scented) my hair is… Because I am normally far from a shiny-haired girl.

Some hair history : As you know, I have pretty long/average length hair. Naturally it is a very mousey brown colour so I used to bleach & highlight it. A LOT. I did this for years and years, even whilst the ends of my hair crumbled and disintegrated as I sat in the hairdressers, stubbornly having more blonde put into my hair *cries with regret*.

However, I have been growing the blonde out for two years now (it now kinda looks like I have ombred it, thank god – for a while it just looked like I was too poor to get my roots done.)

So now I have healthy-ish hair on top and destroyed blonde hair on the bottom. The overall quality of my hair has improved since I stopped with the regular highlights but I never had glossy, shiny, bouncy, full of life hair. It is either just clean or greasy.

BUT NOW – I genuinely have shine. I feel the shine. I see the shine. I love the shine. The first time I used the shampoo and conditioner, it didn’t rock my world. I thought that it smelt gorgeous but that was about it. However, I kept using it and it slowly made my hair look so silky (well, the unbleached bits anyway).

Can we also appreciate the rose gold logo and the pale pink packaging – very blogger friendly.

Next up, is the coconut mask. LOVE. It is so simple – 5 mins in between shampoo and conditioner. 5 mins. It is that easy. None of this “leave in for 20 mins, whilst you stand in the shower running out of hot water, occasionally sticking your arm out to check your phone to see how long you have left” malarky. And it makes the ends noticeably softer. Promise.

The coconut balm is perfect for just adding some hydration to your hair wherever, whenever. *burst into full on Shakira karaoke*

The Blow and Go is meant to be amazing according to everyone else who has used it – but I actually haven’t used it much. Mainly because I use the ‘Bleach Blondes Golden Girls oil’ (see below) when blow drying my hair, but also because the first time I used the Blow & Go, I must have used too much because my hair felt sticky and heavy – but I will retry and let you all know.

These two products – the dry shampoo and the big texture are fab.

I personally don’t use dry shampoo, I really don’t like how it makes my hair feel – probably because when my hair feels greasy, my skin and entire existence also feel greasy, so adding dry shampoo may make my hair look less offensive, but I still feel gross. I therefore try to always have reasonably clean hair to avoid using the DS (famous last words). However, my sister is a BIG fan of dry shampoo – and the can above in the photo above is empty. Which is obviously a good thing and it must work. Because she is just as fussy with what products she uses as I am.

The Big Texture is a mixture of Dry Shampoo and Hairspray – I DO use this. I love this. Perfect for big, night-out hair, or from going from day to night to give yourself a little boost.

Now – my favourite ever product. KiSS Of CoLOUR. This bad boy, gives you wash in wash out pink hair. I AM OBSESSED. This bottle is totally empty, as I have used it A LOT. It is so easy – wash your hair, apply the treatment for 5-10 mins depending on what colour you want (I used it just on the ends). Then rinse out the excess, and style as normal. I absolutely loved my pink/peachy hair. It does work better the blonder you are though, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you have dark hair.

Below are some other products that I have & I use & I trust & I love.
Everyone knows argon oil is good and it works. So it is no surprise that these treatments are some of my favs. Plus, I love the smell of them.

The night repair serum is such a dream. Literally. It works whilst you dream.  It does exactly what it says on the tin. Don’t you just love it when something makes you more beautiful whilst you are sleeping.

My go-to oil to use when blowdrying my hair

And there you have it – my review of all things Lee Stafford. Quite an embarrassing large collection, some old, some new – many of them have been bought more than once. Super affordable – all drugstore – and with my very large stamp of approval.

If you are slightly overwhelmed with recommendations then here is a little list of what I would highly highly recommend you try:

1) the Kiss of Colour pink treatment for fun.
2) Coco Loco shamps & conditioner – ooh plus the coconut mask.
3) Argon oil Night Repair serum.
4) Bleach blondes conditioning spray (if you have blonde hair – obvious. Otherwise the nourishing miracle mist)

Have you tried any Lee Stafford products before? What are you go to hair routines?

xx
