The Must-Have Accessorize Accessories

I am obsessed with accessories – handbags, bracelets, scarfs, shoes, belts, sunglasses, clutches, crossover bags, earrings, necklaces, purses, hair ties, tiaras – all that jazz.

And a girl can never have too many accessories. Ever. And in my opinion – accessories make an outfit. Whether dressing up jeans and a leather jacket, or a LBD – they can completely change what you are wearing. They are the perfect investment and also amazing fast fashion. But don’t just take my word for it – listen to these wise folk :

“A woman makes an outfit her own with accessories”
Oscar de la Renta

“I’ve always thought of accessories as the exclamation point of a women’s outfit”
Michael Kors

“If there was a choice on spending a lot of money on accessories or dress, I always chose accessories. I think jewelry can change an outfit more than anything else.”
Iris Apfel

“My mother worshipped at the alter of accessories and I got the bug. She always said, if you have a good, little, simple black dress and you have different accessories, you can have 27 different outfits.”
Iris Apfel (another one because she is a queen)

Which brings me onto my latest accessory obsession – the new Accessorize collection, their New Season Edit.

I am so excited to share with y’all that I have been working with Accessorize – (and my girl Emily from StyleLobster.com) – on their ‘New Season Edit’ campaign which is celebrating their key accessory pieces this season.

“But what are these key pieces?” I hear you yell in anticipation.

Ok, so, there are 10 categories in their collection, from camera bags (I know right – I need one of these in my life, PLUS they are mega cute) to scarfs to chokers to gold hoops. You can have a little read of the Accessorize blog > here < which tells you a little more about all 10 of them. But if you have a little scroll – I am gunna show you how I styled my favourite pieces – the ‘Work Bag’, ‘Gold Jewellery’, ‘Backpack’, ‘Cross Body bag’ ‘Orb Jewellery’ and ‘Hoops’.

Also  – can we take a quick moment to discuss the colour scheme of the month – blue. It is everywhere – especially frozen blue fingers.

Outfit 1 – Backpacks & Boots

My favourite look at the moment is jeans, boots and a backpack (/always my favourite look). And this pale blue backpack is a BEAUTY to add to my collection.

Also how pretty is this simple gold jewellery *insert love heart eye emoji*

*Insert Mean Girls Quote about hoop earrings*

We were then joined momentarily by the cutest, most scrummiest dog ever. His name is Wilbur and he is a natural blogger. His favourite piece from the new collection is the pale blue backpack – he sniffed it the most. I was truly sad when I had to hand him back to his lovely, very patient, owner.

Look at that little face though…

Here are a couple of reasons why I love the New Season Edit trend of the backpacks :

1) Basically it is like driving handsfree – you can multitask. You can use both hands for holding coffee, whilst tapping your oyster card to get on the tube or snapchatting without the stress of a bag slipping off the shoulder, or blocking the blood supply to your hand when you have it in the crook of your arm.

2) They fit SO MUCH IN.

3) They look so cute.

Also – this gold crisscross bangle is my life. I love it. I think it also comes in silver – for all your silver gals out there.

I have styled the back pack with a casual everyday look – my new Topshop embroidered jeans (SO perfect for spring, my pink boots from Public Desire and my grey shearling Missguided jacket.

Outfit 2 – The Work Bag & Little Dinner Date Bag

Next up we have the Annie Work Bag. For anyone who has been reading my blog for a while – you will know my love affair with oversized/big bags. The ones that you can carry around everything you could possibly need on for your day, along with things you will never need and still have room for more.

My favourite this about the Annie work bag is that is STAYS STANDING WHEN YOU PUT IT ON THE FLOOR. I know this is a very niche irritant. But I hate bags that sag. Things fall out and it is stressful and annoying. I love a good, rigid structure on handbag. You put it down on the tube – and it stays neatly between your feet (if you get a seat – which is rare). This is also so important when it is holding your laptop,  camera, phone, notebooks- everything just stays in its place.

And then a new addition to my handbag size chart is this little cross body bag. Honestly – I wasn’t sure when I would use this when it first arrived but actually it is perfect for dinner dates or popping out shopping etc. All you need to take with you in phone, money, cards and keys and this fits all those in whilst looking oh so sweet.

I am also wearing the gold crisscross bangle again because as I already said – I love it. And then this large circle pendant necklace is also so my vibe.

Styled these pieces with another pair of Topshop jamie jeans – denim is my life – and a off the shoulder knit from Missguided. Also – my Nikes. I get SO many questions about where you can buy these and I have linked them below.

And there you go – that is how I have styled the New Season Edit collection from Accessorize.

I absolutely love this collection – I can’t wait to get my hands on one of their camera bags as they are now back in stock!! (and they come in silver and a shimmery pink – *dies of excitement*)

The colour scheme is so gorgeous – all the neutrals with pops of bright blues are so on trend right now (blue taking over the fashion world again / instagram-theme world. I can’t think about blue in a fashion context without quoting that Devil Wears Prada scene about blue sweaters – if you know you know)

Also – as with everything from Accessorize is SO affordable and good value. A few piece of gold jewellery here and there and you have a total new outfit.

So there you have it. I am so proud to say that this post was written in collaboration with Accessorize. If I could tell my teenage self that one day I would be working with Accessorize – the brand I bought all my jewellery from every time I had any pocket money/ paycheques  – I would have never believed it. So thank you so much to the Accessorize girls for including me in this campaign.

Also a HUGE shoutout to Kat (see her website here) for taking these amazing photos (and standing in the freezing FREEZING cold for 4 hours, whilst all 3 of us lolled pretty much the entire time – I don’t even want to know how many closed eyes, double chin laughing outtakes there were…. SUCH A FUN SHOOT).

What are you favourite pieces from the collection? Shop both the looks below 🙂
