Brunch at Richoux

I love going out for brunch – and had such a lovely treat the other day when I got to go out for brunch with my sister in St John’s Wood at Richoux.

It was founded in 1909, such a difference than all these new coffee shops and restaurants opening everyday. They are famous for their patisserie and are open all day for breakfast, coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

It is a firm favourite with all the locals and tourists – AND due to its close location to Abbey Road, it was a firm favourite hot spot for The Beatles. When I went there with my mum a few years ago, we watch Paul McCartney walk straight past us as we were walking in and he was leaving. #namedrop

I went to the one in St John’s Wood as it is closest to where I live, but they also have restaurants in Knightsbridge, Piccadilly and Mayfair.

We kicked off our meal with Iced Coffee and then I ordered Kedgeree whilst my sister had a chicken baguette (I was allowed a cheeky bite as I did get major food envy when it arrived).
My Kedgeree was so goood – and it is a great brunch food. Hot, filling but not a standard fry up, something a bit different.

For anyone who doesn’t know what kedgeree is, it is a rice and haddock dish with a curry flavour and poached egg on top! My Richoux kedgeree was made of baked rice, poached eggs with
haddock, salmon and mushrooms! Divine.

I really recommend Richoux. We had great service, I love the history of the restaurant, with pictures of The Beatles on the wall, and quality of the food is fab! And it is under £15 for a meal and a drink!

Lots of Love
