January is only good for one thing: Sales. (It is also good for a huge dose of ‘not-going-to-the-gym’ guilt, but that is not as fun).
[Side note of confusion – I thought that the mega sales were for after Christmas – and now suddenly everything started going on sale before Christmas and I was like “whaaaat is going on?”. I am not complaining – it means buying cheaper Christmas presents which I am alllll for. ALSO, personally, I don’t understand those people that set their alarms at 6am on Boxing Day to be the first one into John Lewis – come on people, boxing day is the official National Day of Pyjamas, Leftovers, Chocolate and Julie Andrews films. Am I right? ]
But back to the original topic of January sales – which I understand perfectly.
I recently did a massive sale haul from Oasis and so I decided to do a blog post including 3 of my favourite items from my sale haul, to show how I would style these sale pieces. (Try saying that sentence quickly, when you are drunk.)
I actually got about 8 items, including a gorgeous little jacket, a big cardigan (which I am currently wearing) and a sequinned blue top. Oh and a handbag (oops)… Be sure to watch out for them in my next blog post.
Can I just say, this sale is so great. So, so cheap. The beige coat was £90 reduced to £35 and this waistcoat was £50 and is now £18. I mean – you are basically making money.
First up, we have the Longline Waistcoat, in black, obviously. This sleeveless bad boy is so great for dinners, work, events, date night etc. It basically epitomises Smart Casual. I have never had a waistcoat, but I love the length of this one.
Kept this look super simple – white long sleeved top from Topshop, black Jamie jeans also from Topshop, Asos sunglasses and then both of the pops of colour inserted into the images (shoes and clutch) are from LK Bennett.
My other favourite item is this Penny Strappy Jumpsuit (which is now only £20). I love me a jumpsuit I do. Nice wide straps and bow/belt detail to define the waist. You don’t have to do a bow if you don’t want to. If you want to be seriously edgy you could try and make a swan or something out of the belt.
Please excuse the wonky bun. It was straight when I left the mirror. It was actually a great bun…Now it looks like a little chef hat. Or Goofy’s hat.
I styled this jumpsuit with a really old shearling jacket from Topshop. For the entire time I have ownded it I thought it was black – but one of my friends told me it is green. I am not sure what to believe in life anymore. Sunglasses are from Rayban and my shoes (which are the comfiest heels I own – you can see them being put to the test in a full day of walking in my Ascot outfit post) are from Office.
Now for my favourite of the 3 looks of the day. Starring this gorgeous Grace Checked Coatigan. Is that a word? It totally should be – because it is the perfect description for this piece of outerwear.
I always shy away from patterned coats, as I always think you wouldn’t wear them all the time, limits what other items you wear with them and you could get bored of it pretty quickly too. So I always stick to blacks and greys. But I LOVE this coat. First of all, I love the pattern and the colours. And then I love how it feels and how it fits. Plus it’s warm.
This look consists of my fav jumper of the moment from Paisie, a pair of J Brand jeans, and my pink Carvela heels. Plus more Raybans.

You can shop all the pieces here:
I adore this sale. I love all the items, plus you can just shop it all online here, without rummaging around for the last few sizes in store. Sometimes sale shopping makes me think ‘don’t buy that it was soooo last week’, but this is a fab sale, all still very on trend and such good discounts.
Hope you enjoyed reading this – please do let me know what you think in the comments! Where do you all do your sale shopping? Have you bought anything from Oasis sale?
Have a great week!
xx
